Rokstone launches UK and Ireland commercial casualty division
Rokstone has launched a UK and Ireland Commercial division, expanding its casualty footprint following the rollout of its US Casualty operation in late 2024.
The new division will be led by Lewis Goodearl, who joins from Convex, where he most recently served as a senior underwriter. Goodearl brings more than 30 years of casualty underwriting experience, with prior roles spanning AXA XL, Catlin and Liberty Mutual.
The launch gives Rokstone a direct commercial underwriting presence in the UK and Ireland, supported by A-rated Lloyd’s capacity. The initial appetite includes employers’ liability, public and products liability, contractors all risks and property, with a focus on complex risks and delegated portfolio business. The proposition is positioned around technical underwriting and service-led execution, leveraging Rokstone’s broader global platform.
According to the company, the move is part of a broader diversification strategy as it builds out casualty capabilities across multiple regions. The UK and Ireland expansion follows Rokstone’s recent growth across specialty and reinsurance lines and adds another regional pillar to its global underwriting strategy.
