Reciprocals managed by Kin publish second quarter results

Kin Interinsurance Network and Kin Interinsurance Nexus Exchange, the reciprocals managed by Kin Insurance, published their financial results for the second quarter of the year.

Kin Interinsurance Network, which primarily writes in Florida, reported $270 million in written premiums for the first six months, a 15% increase compared to the same period last year. The reciprocal had a net underwriting loss of $15 million, a 29% decrease compared to the same period last year. The reciprocal requires a 10% surplus contribution from subscribers and as of June 30, 2025, subscribers contributed $27 million.

Kin Interinsurance Nexus Exchange, which was active in AL, AZ, CO, GA, MS, SC, TN, TX, and VA, reported $54 million in written premiums for the first six months, compared to $27 million for the same period last year. Net underwriting loss stood at $9 million for the first half of the year, compared to $2 million for the same period last year. Subscribers contributed $5 million as of June 30, 2025.
