Kin names Douglas Everson chief product officer

Kin Insurance named Douglas Everson chief product officer, where he will oversee product strategy across the company’s insurance, financing, and homeownership offerings.

Everson, who joined Kin in 2023, will lead the company’s Product Management and Design teams and manage the roadmap for home insurance, auto insurance, home financing, and future homeownership services. During his time at Kin, the company expanded from three states to 14 and launched Kin Financing. Before joining Kin, Everson held product leadership roles at Amazon and Goldman Sachs’ Marcus business.

“The decisions we make around product strategy and execution compound over time. Douglas has a strong track record of making thoughtful, high-conviction calls about where to invest, how to simplify complexity, and how to build products that scale. He’s exactly the kind of leader we want for this next phase of growth.” – Kin CEO Sean Harper.

“Homeownership touches every part of a person’s financial life. Our goal is to give homeowners everything they need in one place — protection, financing, and the tools to manage it all with confidence. We’re still early in that journey.” – Kim Chief Product Officer Douglas Everson.
