Ranger Insurance drops consumer offering

Insurance startup Ranger Insurance is no longer offering coverage to consumers.

The startup raised $5.25 million in 2022 to sell home insurance through independent agents and it began offering coverage in Arizona early last year.

Last October, Ranger Insurance introduced Ranger Station, a B2B offering designed to help agencies scale their agency and grow customer relationships.

Founder and CEO Greg Garrison shared with Coverager that continuing to build Ranger’s in-house agency was no longer viable in this market given limited availability and high cost of capital.
