Plymouth Rock welcomes AI insurance shoppers

Plymouth Rock  is encouraging consumers to shop for home insurance through ChatGPT and Meta’s Muse, positioning AI as another entry point to its products alongside independent agents.

“At Plymouth Rock, we’re not running from AI—we’re embracing it,” the company wrote on LinkedIn. “We believe smart technology and human expertise aren’t in competition. They’re complementary.”

The insurer said AI can help consumers discover insurance and explore their options, while agents provide personalized coverage recommendations and support when something goes wrong. Plymouth Rock also said its independent agent partners can access direct-to-consumer policies, including those originating through ChatGPT and Muse, through Home Marketplace.

The message follows Plymouth Rock’s July announcement introducing home insurance quoting within ChatGPT across its six operating states: Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York and New Hampshire.

Plymouth Rock said it continues to invest in tools that give consumers more ways to discover and connect with the insurer.
