Nubank launches new insurance product

Nubank, the Brazilian digital banking company which went public last month, is now offering a new insurance product. According to several reports, the company sent out emails to users with an invite to sign up for cell phone insurance.

The new insurance covers both damage and theft and can be customized to only include theft. Coverage is provided by Chubb Seguros Brasil.

This isn’t Nubank’s first insurance product – in late 2020, the company announced the launch of a fully digital life insurance offering called Nubank Vida in Brazil. The product, which is also provided by Chubb, was developed using the integration capabilities of Chubb Studio, the insurer’s digital product distribution platform.
