Northbridge Insurance launches connected home project

Canadian insurer Northbridge Insurance has teamed up with Alert Labs in a pilot project that aims to help keep homes safer and provide savings to homeowners. Here’s how it works. Customers that purchase an Alert Labs Home Solution package, which consists of a Flowie water sensor and a Floodie companion sensor, will potentially save up to $150 on their home insurance. The sensors can detect issues like little leaks, temperature fluctuations and water flow irregularities – before they lead to costly water damage.
