Mosaic hires Warty to lead finpro lines for Americas expansion

Mosaic Insurance  has hired US-based finpro executive Sachin Warty to lead global financial institutions and professional liability business as the firm prepares to expand both product lines across North America.

Based in Chicago, IL, Warty joins the specialty insurer effective December 15 as Global Head of Financial Institutions & Professional Liability (FinPro). Reporting to him will be UK-based Francesca Harland, who becomes Head of International, Professional Liability, and Jacqueline Hall-Shaw, named Head of International, Financial Institutions.

As part of the re-alignment, two other key Mosaic executives have been promoted to help drive market expansion and engagement. Former FI head Tom Dilley and Danny Clack, Deputy Active Underwriter of Mosaic Syndicate 1609, now have enhanced positions—becoming Global Head of Client Engagement and Head of Broker Engagement, International, respectively, reporting to Global Engagement Officer Yosha DeLong while retaining underwriting roles.

Launched in February 2021, Mosaic focuses on specialty lines with high technical barriers and strong relevance to current and emerging geopolitical and economic risks. In addition to financial institutions and professional liability, its portfolio spans transactional liability, cyber, political risk, political violence, and environmental liability.

Warty previously co-led the US financial institutions business of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) for the past five years. Prior, he was a lead underwriter at BHSI overseeing financial institutions business for the US Central and Western regions. He also held underwriting positions at CNA and Travelers.

“We’re at an important inflection point in our growth as a company as we approach the five-year mark in 2026. This strategic leadership evolution is instrumental as we heighten our client engagement and expand a global finpro franchise defined by deep expertise, market-leading capability, and true value creation. We welcome Sachin to the team and commend the advancements of all these executives.” –  Co-CEO Mark Wheeler.
