Marsh McLennan Agency to acquire The Accel Group

Marsh McLennan Agency  has agreed to acquire Accel Holdings, the parent company of Iowa-based independent insurance and advisory firm The Accel Group.

Founded in 1936, The Accel Group offers commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, agribusiness coverage, wealth management and retirement advisory services. It operates seven offices across Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas and employs more than 130 people, all of whom are expected to join MMA.

The deal will expand MMA’s footprint in Iowa and neighboring states while strengthening its agribusiness, retirement and wealth capabilities.
