Manulife launches travel insurance app in ChatGPT

Manulife has launched a ChatGPT app that allows Canadian travelers to receive personalized CoverMe travel insurance quotes.

Users answer questions about their age, province of residence, destination, travel dates and trip cost. Once a quote is generated, they can continue to CoverMe.com, where the information provided in ChatGPT carries over to the purchase process.

The app supports single-trip coverage for one traveler who is a Canadian citizen or resident. It is not designed for multi-trip or group coverage, travelers with pre-existing medical conditions, claims management, or emergency and travel assistance.

Manulife cautions users against sharing detailed medical information and notes that quotes provided through the app are informational and do not guarantee coverage.
