Lennar exits Hippo position

Lennar Corporation  has further reduced its stake in Hippo Holdings Inc., bringing its ownership below 5% and ending its status as a major shareholder. According to a February 17 filing, Lennar and its affiliated entities are no longer beneficial owners of more than 5% of Hippo’s common stock. The amendment represents a final exit filing.

Both LEN FW Investor and Len X transferred approximately 2.07 million shares, along with a smaller block, to the Lennar Foundation for no consideration. Following the transfer, the group retains voting rights over only 16,470 shares, representing about 0.1% of the company.

The move continues Lennar’s gradual exit from Hippo . In December 2025, Lennar disclosed an 8.6% stake after a series of open-market sales. That followed earlier transactions, including a $14.5 million share repurchase by Hippo in mid-2025 and a reported $28.4 million loss related to the investment for the six months ended May 31, 2025.
