Lemonade launches car insurance in another state

According to its site, Lemonade’s car insurance product is now available in Washington – its seventh state since first launching in Illinois more than two years ago.

Based on 2022 data, Washington isn’t a top ten state in terms of premiums and it accounted for 2% of the company’s total US written premiums.

As of September 2023, Lemonade reported $7.1 million in written premiums for its car insurance product.
