Ladder joins Charles Schwab’s marketplace

Ladder is expanding its advisor program by joining the Charles Schwab marketplace and introducing Laddering Scenarios.

Ladder’s advisors program – launched earlier this year – offers financial advisors a streamlined way to help their clients get coverage along with a “customized toolkit and dashboard that provides the visibility necessary to help their clients have the right amount of coverage for their needs, at any given time.” Now, with Laddering Scenarios, advisors will be able to identify the potential savings available to clients by contacting Ladder to obtain personalized laddering examples that will help clients determine the right amount of coverage, for the right period of time, so they can optimize term life insurance costs and incorporate the savings into their financial planning.

In addition, Ladder will become the first life insurance solution to be offered on the Schwab OpenView MarketSquare, the online resource available on the Schwab Advisor Services website that features listings of RIA technology products. MarketSquare – which reaches 7,500 independent advisors – allows advisors to search or filter based on category or the type of integration with Schwab data that’s available for the product. They can then select individual products and view detailed information about its features and the company that provides it.

“All too often, advisors send their clients to insurance brokers who try to upsell their clients into policies that don’t fit their needs and drag the process on for months, leaving advisors frustrated and clients lacking the crucial protection term life provides. Now, Ladder for Advisors’ simple referral tool has become part of the practice and process for our advisors, increasing both client adherence and satisfaction.” – Jeff Merkel, cofounder at Ladder.
