Director of Business Development
Smith & Wilkinson has been exclusively engaged on a search for a Director of Business Development at an innovative startup with a focus on acquiring and retaining customers through meaningful brand engagement, and rewards based on living a healthy life. This position would be responsible for generating new business and will report directly to the CEO. You’ll work alongside the Head of Revenue focusing on distinct market segments. While you’re in a senior position, you will not be overseeing any direct reports. Your focus will be on creating a path to revenue and closing new business for the firm.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter, with incomparable drive to succeed and the discipline to grow and maintain a thriving and diverse pipeline. This is a true “hunter” sales position, and you will need to be focused and ambitious to flourish in this role.
- You should have a great deal of experience conceptualizing, modeling out, and closing interesting and complex deals
- You must have experience working in a vibrant, high-growth startup environment – financial services sector experience highly preferred
- Travel required – you’ll be on the road meeting with prospects and existing clients, attending industry conferences, and building your network for a majority of your time. Some international travel expected.
- This position will sit in the Princeton, NJ office when you’re not traveling. ***Relocation assistance available for exceptional candidates***
