Introducing Tesla Insurance
Tesla announced the launch of Tesla Insurance, “a competitively priced insurance offering designed to provide Tesla owners with up to 20% lower rates, and in some cases as much as 30%.”
Coverage is currently available in California to all Model S, Model X, Model 3 and Roadster owners, and it will expand to additional U.S. states in the future.
“Because Tesla knows its vehicles best, Tesla Insurance is able to leverage the advanced technology, safety, and serviceability of our cars to provide insurance at a lower cost. This pricing reflects the benefits of Tesla’s active safety and advanced driver assistance features that come standard on all new Tesla vehicles.”
Our quote was double the price we currently pay USAA. #nothanks

Lol at @Tesla insurance being "20-30%" cheaper…it's actually 30-40% MORE expensive than my current provider. pic.twitter.com/zlhXTtocgy

@elonmusk dude Tesla Insurance quoted me $299. I pay $200 per month with @geico (also too much). 91601 zip and no points or accidents. WTF!?

Explain why Tesla insurance is offering me $256 a month for my Model 3 but Mercury Insurance is $250 for BOTH my Model 3 and Camry @elonmusk 🧐
