iBeat rebrands to 100Plus
San Francisco-based iBeat was established in 2016 by Ryan Howard, Larry Stone, and Brian Boarini (now working at Google) to operate in the space of wearables and wellness with plans to offer the iBeat Heart Watch, “a breakthrough cellular smartwatch that monitors users’ heart activity 24-7.” And in life-threatening emergency, iBeat promised to alert the user, their loved ones, and emergency responders in real-time.
In 2018, the company secured a $2.5 million seed round from SCOR and Transamerica Ventures; bringing its total funding to $12.5 million.
That was then:
This is now:
The company has since rebranded to 100Plus and is now looking to offer the watch at no cost to Medicare patients. “At this time, the 100Plus watch is only available to eligible Medicare patients. We want to ensure that this product is available at no cost to patients. Please keep us in mind for the future!”
Finally, several tweets hint to a struggling startup.

I would cancel if I were you. The customer service is horrible and my watch stopped working and they don’t reply to me.
