Hiscox Re rebrands and launches capital platform

Hiscox Re & ILS has rebranded as Hiscox Re and introduced Hiscox Capital Partners, a platform designed to consolidate and expand the group’s third-party capital activities.

Hiscox Re brings together the group’s reinsurance business and capital partner operations, with underwriting conducted in Bermuda and London and focused on property and specialty risks. The new Hiscox Capital Partners structure formalizes nearly two decades of capital management activity and aims to provide institutional investors with streamlined access to Hiscox Re’s underwriting through tailored and transparent solutions.

Liz Breeze, who was appointed last year to lead the Hiscox Capital Partners team, brings more than 20 years of insurance experience, including senior roles across the Hiscox Group and as CFO of Hiscox Re. Vincent Prabis continues as Managing Principal, working alongside Hiscox Re CEO Kathleen Reardon and the broader leadership team.

The platform will continue managing existing investor relationships while exploring opportunities to expand access to Hiscox Re’s portfolios.
