Higginbotham expands in Georgia with Blanton & Griffin partnership

Higginbotham has partnered with Blanton & Griffin Insurance Agency , an independent property and casualty agency based in Valdosta, Georgia, expanding its presence in South Georgia.

Founded through a 1985 merger and with roots dating back to 1920, Blanton & Griffin serves commercial and personal lines clients, with expertise in construction, hospitality, manufacturing, nonprofits, and contract surety. The agency expanded its ownership group from three to seven partners in early 2025 as part of its succession plan.

Under the partnership, Blanton & Griffin will gain access to Higginbotham’s carrier relationships, specialty programs, captive capabilities, in-house claims advocacy and legal resources, and employee benefits offerings, while continuing to operate locally.
