Goodcover launches Goodcover Auto

Renters insurance provider Goodcover has launched Goodcover Auto, a new offering that gives policyholders the option to bundle auto insurance coverage with their renters insurance policy.

The offering is accessible via Goodcover’s member dashboard and policyholders can qualify for a multi-line discount. Goodcover claims that members will be able to get quotes without jumping “from website to website” and their relevant info will be pre-filled, leaving just a few simple questions to complete the quoting process. Guidance and support from Goodcover’s advisors will be available for members.

According to its site, the carriers available through Goodcover Auto include Bristol West, Clearcover, Dairyland, Farmers, Infinity, Kemper, Liberty Mutual, Mercury, National General, Safeco, Stillwater, and Travelers.

Goodcover is currently available in California, Texas, Arizona, and Nevada with its renters insurance product.

“Many people are unfairly charged higher auto insurance rates just because they rent – that simply doesn’t make much sense in 2023. Goodcover Auto is a way for us to empower renters and simplify their car insurance searches, making them more efficient. Our overarching objective as a company has always been to find equitable financial solutions for everyone. Unfortunately, whether they realize it or not, renters are often treated worse than homeowners are by the financial and insurance industries. We’re committed to improving transparency so that renters can challenge the status quo and advocate for themselves to get the best insurance premiums possible.” – Goodcover’s co-founder and CEO, Chris Lotz.
