Clearcover Brings Transparent, Flexible Auto Insurance to Florida–No Fees, No Surprises

Florida agents can now join “26 for ’26”, an incentive program offering cash prizes, agency rewards and up to 26 points of combined commission and incentive value

CHICAGO — [April 30, 2026] — Clearcover Insurance Company today launches a new auto insurance product in Florida built around one idea: coverage that works on the driver’s terms, not the insurer’s.

The product eliminates the fees and rigid payment schedules that push Florida’s most vulnerable drivers out of coverage: no late fees, no cancellation fees, no reinstatement charges, and payment plans that sync with weekly, biweekly, or monthly pay cycles.

The need is acute. According to the Insurance Research Council, one in three U.S. drivers is uninsured or underinsured and Florida’s statistics are worse: More than 20% have no insurance at all, and nearly 40% are underinsured.

“Clearcover is here to give everyone a better way to get insured—one that’s affordable, flexible and built around their needs,” said Clearcover CEO and Co-founder Kyle Nakatsuji. “Our expansion into Florida is the reinvention of what auto insurance should be, eliminating barriers to help more drivers access transparent coverage with real control over their payments and policies.”

Florida drivers can now:

  • Stay covered without penalty: No late fees, cancellation fees or surprise reinstatement charges.
  • Pay when they get paid: Choose weekly, biweekly or monthly payment schedules to match pay dates.
  • Access their lowest rates and lowest down payments: Affordable entry into coverage, designed to fit tighter budgets.
  • Get same-day coverage: Seamlessly avoid lapses or delays when switching carriers, if eligible.
  • Manage everything digitally: From instant quotes to simple claims and quick payouts via Clearcover’s highly rated app.

Eligible policies also include Car Care, discounted vehicle maintenance with average annual savings up to 25%.

Florida Agents: Introducing “26 for ’26”

Running May through December 2026, 26 for ’26 rewards every level of agency production.

Producers earn game entries for every five policies written, competing for escalating cash and gift card prizes. Agencies hit branded merchandise milestones based on cumulative volume. And network groups unlock commission overrides and an annual contingency bonus tied to portfolio quality, earning up to 26 percentage points of combined commission and incentive value.

“We built 26 for ’26 around something simple: agents writing Florida non-standard auto should have a real reason to choose Clearcover first,” said Seth Henderson, Clearcover Senior Vice President, Insurance Product & Growth. “The product is purpose-built to work for their customers while the program gives agents  top-of-the-line compensation.”

Florida is Clearcover’s first market for this product. Additional state rollouts are planned for later in 2026.
