GM Insurance launches in Florida

General Motors Insurance is now available to car owners Florida.

The company is now available in 18 states: AZ, TX, GA, MN, IA, MO, IL, IN, OH, PA, TN, VA, AL, OK, AR, CO, LA, and FL. The company plans to expand to 20 states by the end of the year.

In 2024, GM National Insurance Company, the licensed carrier that’s part of General Motors, generated ~$20 million in written premiums and reported an underwriting loss of $58 million. The carrier reported a net underwriting loss of $15.4 million in the first quarter of 2025.
