File Claims Using WhatsApp

Bharti AXA Life is allowing policyholders to file claims via WhatsApp . “The prime responsibility of any life insurance company is to honor a valid claim in the need of the hour. By embracing mobile instant messaging platform like WhatsApp, we are providing a prompt and a fresh service option to enhance comforts and benefits of our customers and improve customer-contactability.” – Managing Director and CEO, Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Vikas Seth.

 

Here’s How It Works: a customer texts the company to initiate a claim, the insurer responds back with a link to later have the customer upload any relevant claim documents. The insurer will communicate the claim status via WhatsApp and credit the policyholder’s bank account, when applicable. Last, Bharti AXA Life is now working to expand this channel to policy delivery and policy servicing.

 

Bottom Line: joining the growing list of select insurance players that use WhatsApp as a support/sales channel.
