EverQuote launches Luva
EverQuote has launched Luva , an auto insurance comparison platform built around an AI assistant called Lu.

Users describe their insurance needs through a conversation, with Lu collecting information, explaining coverage options and showing how changes affect pricing. Luva says shoppers can compare live carrier rates and purchase online or connect with a licensed agent.
The platform is available in all 50 states, subject to carrier availability. Users can start a quote without creating an account, providing a Social Security number or VIN, or undergoing a hard credit check.
In a Coverager test for a 2020 Ford Escape Titanium in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, Luva returned no online quotes. It instead directed the shopper to call a licensed agent to check additional carriers. The site said the agent could access answers already submitted.

Luva’s disclosures identify MassDrive and Bindable as the licensed agents for all products. The platform is free to consumers and says it earns money when users click links or purchase policies.

Luva operates as an independent brand under EverQuote. It is starting with auto insurance, with plans to expand into other lines.
Bottom Line: “We make money from our partners when you purchase a policy from one of the providers listed on our site or click on one of our links.”
