ERGO appoints Guy Goldstein as Chief AI Officer

ERGO Group has appointed Guy Goldstein to the newly created role of Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer on its Management Board, effective October 1, 2026.

Goldstein will oversee AI implementation across the group while continuing as CEO of ERGO NEXT in the United States. He founded the small business insurer in 2016. ERGO NEXT became fully integrated into ERGO in 2025, following a partnership with ERGO and Munich Re that began in 2017.

The appointment comes as Mark Klein, ERGO’s Chief Digital Officer, prepares to leave the company at his own request at year-end. Klein has led digital initiatives at ERGO since 2016 and joined the group’s Management Board in 2024. His responsibilities also include Group Marketing and global partnerships.
