Equifax acquires Vault Verify

Equifax has acquired Vault Verify , a provider of employment and income verification services founded in 2012. The deal adds another stream of employer-provided data to Equifax’s Workforce Solutions unit and expands the information feeding The Work Number, the company’s core verification database.

Vault Verify offers API-based, real-time verifications and serves employers across the U.S., with a concentration in healthcare. The team is joining Equifax Workforce Solutions, where the product will be integrated into existing verification services.

Equifax says the acquisition will help verifiers make faster decisions and give employers another way to supply employment and income data for use in job applications, mortgage underwriting, social services, and other financial transactions.
