Emergence Insurance acquires Blue Zebra’s cyber portfolio

Emergence Insurance has acquired the renewal rights to Blue Zebra’s cyber insurance portfolio. All Blue Zebra cyber policies renewing from July 1, 2026, will transition to Emergence, with brokers receiving replacement policy terms beginning in June.

As part of the deal, Blue Zebra’s Head of Cyber, Aaron Langmaid, will join Emergence in July.

Emergence said policyholders will gain access to its cyber coverage, incident response capabilities, and broader underwriting appetite, while Blue Zebra said the transaction will allow it to focus on its core business and broker partnerships.
