Ease Partners with Heartland to Streamline Employee Onboarding for SMBs

San Francisco-based online benefits enrollment platform Ease has announced a partnership with global payments company Heartland Payment Systems which supports payroll and other HR functions for businesses. Following this integration, employees of companies who utilize Heartland Payroll will be able to log into their Ease portals to access information regarding their payroll, available PTO, current tax deductions and benefits.

“Heartland is proud to announce the seamless integration of our payroll/HR platform with Ease’s benefit admin application. This streamlined integration tool enables employers to complete the digital employee onboarding and enrollment process via Ease. More importantly, this integration promotes Heartland’s strategic partnership with Ease to support the needs of their small employer groups. The Ease application will be an intricate part of Heartland’s Partner Program integration with Benefit Brokers to protect their book of business from being solicited by other payroll companies selling competing insurance product lines.” –  Clifford Gibson, Senior Director of Business Development, Payroll Partnership.

On the backend, companies using Ease and Heartland Payroll will be able to push new benefit deduction information directly and automatically following open enrollment or any qualifying changes, saving time and drastically reducing potential for human error which requires additional resources to correct. Brokers who offer Ease will now be able to provide access to Heartland Payroll through the platform both to employers who were previously using Heartland Payroll, as well as those who sign on in the future.

Bottom Line: Ease has raised $27.6m in funding since its inception in 2012 and is now working with more than 55,000 employers servicing 1.3 million enrollees.
