Dun & Bradstreet brings commercial insurance workflows to Claude

Dun & Bradstreet is making its business information and risk intelligence available in Anthropic’s Claude to help insurance carriers and brokers automate commercial underwriting workflows.

The integration connects D&B’s Commercial Graph and predictive analytics to Claude through the Model Context Protocol. Insurers can use the offering to verify businesses and ownership structures, confirm broker-of-record information and producer licenses, identify duplicate submissions, conduct financial risk checks, perform OFAC and know-your-business screening, and prepare risk profiles for underwriters.

D&B said the integration can reduce some underwriting tasks from days or weeks to minutes. It can also support AI agents for underwriting, rating, quoting, and claims while producing documentation for audits.

The insurance capabilities build on the risk and compliance workflows D&B introduced in Claude last month, adding financial strength information covering areas such as credit, filings, and payment history.

“For decades, insurance companies have relied on Dun & Bradstreet’s verified business data and analytics to help them improve risk selection and pricing and increase profitability. Now, Claude allows us to draw inference across our Commercial Graph to provide a more holistic understanding of the risks they are insuring.  By making D&B’s business information and risk intelligence accessible in Claude, not only are our customers able to consider opportunities faster, but the outputs are explainable, auditable, and consistent, allowing decision-makers to act with confidence.” – Scott Spencer, General Manager, Finance & Credit at Dun & Bradstreet.
