Duck Creek acquires underwriting platform Send

Duck Creek has acquired London-based Send Technology Solutions , adding AI-powered underwriting orchestration capabilities to its insurance platform.

Send develops an underwriting workbench used by commercial, specialty, reinsurance, MGA, delegated authority, and London Market insurers, supporting more than $26 billion in gross written premium. The UK-based company employs more than 150 people, according to LinkedIn, and has raised about $10.7 million in equity funding, in addition to debt financing.

Duck Creek said the acquisition combines Send’s underwriting orchestration platform with its Intelligent Insurance Cloud and its Agentic AI Platform, connecting submission intake, risk assessment, pricing, policy issuance, and portfolio monitoring into a single workflow. Send will continue to operate as a standalone platform while integrating more closely with Duck Creek’s platform.

Among Send’s customers is Argenta Group, which became the first Lloyd’s managing agent to deploy the Send Underwriting Workbench across all classes of business.

As part of the deal, Send co-founder and CEO Andy Moss will join Duck Creek as General Manager of Underwriting.

“Underwriting has become one of the most critical priorities for insurers as they look to improve profitability, manage increasingly complex risks, and compete with greater speed and precision. By bringing Send into Duck Creek, we are combining core insurance operations and underwriting orchestration in a trusted agentic AI experience that connects systems of record, decision intelligence, workflows, and action. This is the game changer for insurers: a unified platform that helps them turn underwriting complexity into clearer decisions, faster execution, stronger risk selection, and measurable business value.” – Hardeep Gulati, Chief Executive Officer at Duck Creek.
