Constellation Re completes first Bermuda transaction

Constellation Re Bermuda has completed its inaugural reinsurance transaction, an intercompany deal covering term life, universal life, and disability income products. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Bermuda-domiciled licensed reinsurer also received an “A” insurer financial strength rating from Fitch Ratings, which designated it a core entity within the Constellation group.

The platform expands Constellation Re’s ability to offer reinsurance across different geographies and regulatory jurisdictions, helping insurers manage risk and capital.

Constellation Re provides M&A and reinsurance solutions and is part of the Constellation group, whose businesses include AuguStar Retirement and AuguStar Life.
