Clearcover’s carrier reports 2023 results

Clearcover Insurance Company, the carrier subsidiary of Clearcover, reported financial results for 2023, ending the year $168 million in written premiums, a 19% increase compared to 2022.

The carrier reported a net underwriting loss of $43 million last year, compared to a $35.8 million loss in 2022.

Around 32% of the company’s written premiums come from the state of Texas, a slight increase compared to 2022. Overall, the carrier generated premiums in 19 states.

Clearcover Insurance Company had a combined ratio of 163% last year, compared to a combined ratio of 158% in 2022.
