Finally, the P2P insurance scheme has recently launched a pilot project with AMZS (Slovene national automobile association) and insurance company Adriatic Slovenica in Slovenia. The service is launched under the JAZ brand that offers responsible drivers the possibility to obtain guarantees from their friends and family and gain “substantial” discounts on their auto insurance premium in return.

Here’s how it works: Customers visit the AMZS branch to purchase auto insurance coupled with the JAZ service. Later, customers can invite as many peers as they’d like to guarantee they are safe drivers. Guarantees can range from €50 to €1,000. In the event of damage, customers may decide whether to indemnify part of the damage themselves or to seek payment from their peers.
