Capital One announces new premium travel card

Late last week, Capital One unveiled its new premium travel credit card – Venture X – which comes with a $395 annual fee.

Venture X cardholders earn unlimited miles, receive statement credits on travel bookings, access exclusive airport benefits and receive anniversary bonus miles. Capital One Venture X card also includes insurance benefits such as extended warranty protection, cell phone protection, trip cancellation, travel accident insurance at no extra charge when paying with the card, and auto rental collision damage waiver.

The company is also promoting the Capital One Travel platform as part of this new card. In March, Capital One was the lead investor in travel booking platform Hopper and the two companies announced a partnership in which the bank will launch its own travel booking platform powered by the Canadian company. Capital One members can book flights, hotels and rental cars, and enjoy additional features.
