Canopius opens Manchester operations hub

Canopius opened a new office in Manchester, positioning it as a “Centre of Operational Excellence” for its global operations.

The site will house technology, data, and operational teams, with a focus on improving efficiency and scalability across the business. The insurer signed a 10-year lease, signaling a long-term commitment to the region.

Manchester becomes Canopius’ second-largest location after London. The company has already built a local team since 2022, creating around 90 roles across technology and data, with plans to expand further over the next decade.

Founded in 2003 within the Lloyd’s of London market, Canopius now operates globally with more than 1,000 employees across the UK, US, Bermuda, Australia, and Singapore.
