BYD partners with bolttech

Chinese electric carmaker BYD has appointed bolttech as their preferred strategic partner for embedded insurance in their primary European markets. The partnership has already launched in the United Kingdom, and will be made available in Italy, France, Germany and Spain this year.

bolttech will extend its embedded insurance platform to offer BYD customers coverage for electric vehicles through different insurers. The embedded experience will be available online and in dealerships, with coverage options available on the bolttech platform during the vehicle purchase and finance process.

In addition, BYD and bolttech will provide insurers with access to safety insights and proprietary vehicle data to develop more competitive products for the BYD ecosystem.
