Brown & Brown acquires specialist UK broker Weatherbys Hamilton

Brown & Brown  (Europe) has acquired Weatherbys Hamilton, a UK-based broker specializing in Private Client, Bloodstock, and Farm & Estate insurance. With seven offices across the UK, Weatherbys Hamilton is a prominent name in the bloodstock industry, offering insurance solutions for horse owners, breeders, and trainers.

Founded in 2012 as a joint venture with Weatherbys Bank, the firm will retain its brand and team post-acquisition. The deal strengthens Brown & Brown’s specialist capabilities and reflects a cultural alignment between the two businesses.
