BHSI promotes three in employer stop loss business
BHSI has promoted Ford Coacher, Chris Slezak, and Bill Bixler within its employer stop loss (ESL) division as it continues to expand the business.
Ford Coacher has been named Vice President, Taft Hartley. He joined BHSI in 2024 as Assistant Vice President and brings more than a decade of experience focused on multiemployer and Taft-Hartley health plans. In his new role, he will lead the expansion of BHSI’s Taft Hartley ESL offering for self-funded union health plans.
Chris Slezak has been appointed Vice President, Employer Stop Loss Sales, U.S. West. He joined BHSI in 2022 and previously served as Regional Vice President for the South Central region. He will now oversee ESL sales across the West, including the Southwest, Northwest, and South Central regions.
Bill Bixler has been named Vice President, Employer Stop Loss Sales, U.S. East. Bixler joined the company in 2017 and previously led the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. He will now oversee ESL sales across the East, including the Midwest and Southeast.
The promotions come as BHSI continues to invest in its employer stop loss business, which it launched in 2016. The company highlights its financial strength, long-term underwriting approach, and decision not to purchase reinsurance as key differentiators for distribution partners and policyholders.
