Beneva plans to speed up digital auto insurance launch

Canada’s Beneva partnered with GFT to migrate its auto insurance products to Guidewire Cloud and adopt Guidewire’s Advanced Product Designer (APD). The move is part of Beneva’s plan to offer a fully digital policy experience, from purchase to changes to cancellations.

Most consumers prefer to manage policies online, but legacy carriers face long development cycles, fragmented data, and regulatory upkeep. Beneva chose GFT to convert its existing products to APD rather than build new capabilities internally.

GFT completed the conversion in eight weeks. The new setup allows Beneva to release digital offerings for personal auto, commercial lines, and, later, homeowners. It also gives customers more self-service options.

Beneva is one of the first insurers to go live with APD through Guidewire’s Early Adopter Program. GFT worked with Guidewire throughout the rollout and has now completed several APD implementations across multiple business lines.
