AXA UK launches free climate resilience program for SMEs
AXA UK has launched a free sustainability program designed to help small and medium-sized businesses better understand and prepare for the risks associated with climate change.
Developed in partnership with AXA Climate, the program consists of bite-sized online modules focused on helping SMEs assess their exposure to extreme weather events and build long-term resilience strategies.
The initiative comes as climate change remains the top concern identified in AXA’s Future Risks Report for the fourth consecutive year. The UK has experienced increasing incidents of flooding and other extreme weather events, creating new challenges for businesses.
The training is based on AXA Climate School, a program originally launched in 2021 for AXA employees worldwide. AXA has since adapted parts of the curriculum for brokers and customers, and now offers a version tailored specifically for SMEs.
According to AXA, the modules help businesses understand climate-related risks affecting their operations, customers, and supply chains, while providing practical guidance on adaptation measures.
The SME-focused adaptation program has already been introduced in other AXA markets, including Italy and Spain.
AXA Climate is the group’s climate-focused business that develops tools and services to help organizations address environmental and climate adaptation challenges.
