AXA Strategic Ventures Adds Four Startups to Portfolio

AXA Strategic Ventures (ASV), a global $250 million venture capital fund, today announces that it has added four new investments over the second half 2015 to its portfolio in the U.S.

“Our world is becoming more transparent, digitally enabled and customer centric,” said ASV U.S.’s General Partner, Manish Agarwal. “These developments are changing financial services and we are excited that our portfolio is helping shape this trend. Through these new companies, we want to capture innovation and invest in technologies that will tomorrow transform our industry.”

  • Bee is building the bank of the future – a mobile-first, in-person bank for all Americans. Bee was launched in New York in June and has over 3,200 clients. They will be operating in San Francisco and Oakland this month.
  • PriceMethod, launched this summer, is a predictive analytics company that provides technology to enable accommodations marketplaces and property owners to operate more efficiently through optimized, automated and now guaranteed pricing. As the infrastructure and insurance needs for this space continue to grow, PriceMethod’s data science will play an important role in stabilizing and improving the market model.
  • GoldBean, launched in fall 2015, provides advice, education and low-cost trading for financial beginners. By analyzing members’ actual spending, they create customized portfolios featuring successful companies and brands that users love, know and buy.
  • CoPromote, operating since 2010, has built the world’s largest programmatic influencer marketing platform with over 800,000 content creators reaching more than 1.6 billion people a month. CoPromote first solved marketing for social media creators by enabling them to easily expand their audience and is now opening up their platform, the first programmatic influencer channel at scale, to a select group of brands and professional content creators.
These four companies join ASV’s U.S. portfolio, which also includes investments in PolicyGenius, Limelight Health and VolunteerSpot.

ASV plans to continue a similar pace of investments in the coming year.
