Aurenity hires Brian Robb to lead professional liability expansion

E&S MGA Aurenity has appointed Brian Robb as executive vice president, Cyber & Technology, marking its entry into professional liability.

Robb joins from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he served as senior vice president and head of Cyber, Technology E&O and Miscellaneous Professional Liability Underwriting for North America. At Aurenity, he will build out offerings across those three lines.

Robb brings more than two decades of experience in underwriting, claims and litigation. Before BHSI, he spent 11 years at CNA, most recently as underwriting director and cyber industry leader. He began his career as a professional liability defense attorney at Martin Clearwater & Bell.

The expansion adds to Aurenity’s six existing E&S programs across casualty, public entity and property. It follows Great Hill Partners’ growth equity investment in the company, announced in September, which supports new specialty lines, senior underwriting hires and further development of its pricing and analytics platform.

Launched in January 2022, Aurenity is backed by Agman and Great Hill Partners and distributes its products through wholesale brokers.
