Arch to acquire Premier Dealer Services

Arch Insurance North America has agreed to acquire Premier Dealer Holding Corp., including its subsidiary Premier Dealer Services (PDS), expanding its automotive finance and insurance business. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1998 and based in Dublin, Ohio, PDS provides automotive protection and loyalty products, administration services, technology and training to dealerships. The acquisition builds on a long-standing relationship between the companies.

Following closing, PDS is expected to operate as a standalone business within Arch Insurance’s Consumer Division. Dealers and agents will continue working with the existing Premier team.

Arch said the deal will bring together its specialty insurance expertise with PDS’s administration capabilities, technology infrastructure and dealer relationships. PDS CEO John Topits said joining Arch would provide resources to continue investing in employees, products and technology.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Bottom Line: Arch is expanding in dealership F&I, where Protective has also grown through acquisitions, including its purchase of Portfolio earlier this year.
