Anorak raises £5.8 million

London-based fully automated life insurance advice platform Anorak Technologies has raised ~€5.8 million in a funding round led by Outward VC, with Triple Point Ventures and existing investor Kamet Ventures also participating. Other participants include Nic Kohler, the former CEO of Hollard, Paul Evans, Chairman of Allianz PLC, and board member of Bupa and SwissRE Europe, Charlie Delingpole (CEO and founder of ComplyAdvantage), and Will Neale (Founder of Fonix and Grabyo).

Founded in 2017 by David Vanek and Vincent Durnez, and backed by Kamet, an insurtech startup studio funded by AXA, Anorak is building a new model for buying life insurance that enables people to make the right choice by offering tailored advice about their life and risks, powered by data science and machine learning. Also, the company offers an API for partners who wish to integrate with its services.
