AM Best affirms A- rating for Everspan Group

AM Best has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-” for Everspan Group and its five insurance subsidiaries, including Everspan Indemnity Insurance Company and Everspan Insurance Company. The outlook for all ratings is stable.

The affirmation reflects Everspan’s very strong balance sheet, adequate operating performance, and appropriate risk management. The group began writing premium in Q2 2021 and has met AM Best’s expectations through Q1 2025. Backed by Ambac Financial Group, Everspan operates as a fronting and specialty program carrier, partnering with managing general agents and highly rated reinsurers.
