Aldi launches Aldi Insurance

Aldi, the German supermarket chain operating in nearly 20 countries, has launched Aldi Insurance in Australia.

The company has partnered with insurer RACQ and insurance startup Honey Insurance to launch the new offering.

Aldi Insurance currently offers car, homeowners, renters, and landlord insurance across Australia, and shoppers can obtain a quote in three minutes. The home and renters coverage includes free smart home sensors.

The supermarket chain began operating in Australia in 2001 and it has nearly 600 stores.
