Established in 2018 and led by James Juarez, “Vida Insurance was created to provide individual insurance products to people from every culture. As founders, our multi-cultural backgrounds have given us the insights to create a bi-lingual experience especially when it comes to purchasing life insurance.”

The Los Angeles-based company is getting ready to launch according to a Facebook post shared on April 1. And according to Crunchbase, it secured pre-seed funding from Sagicor Financial Corporation , a Scottsdale-based life insurer. Aside from personal life insurance products, it appears Vida will also be offering voluntary workplace insurance by Assurity.
