A word with Discovery CEO

“We’ve now got a lot on our plate. We don’t need more territories, we need to get more traction” – Discovery CEO Adrian Gore on his company’s partnership with Sumitomo Life and SoftBank Group (the one with Pepper the robot) to develop and introduce Discovery products in Japan. The three partners plan to create a database to collect health-related information, which will help the insurers price the products and set up reinsurance, as well as introduce the Vitality program (subject to regulatory approvals). Perhaps the secret to Discovery’s success is the fact that it’s always in a startup mode, according to Gore.
