PasarPolis is Now Backed by Unicorns
Ride-hailing company Go-Jek, e-commerce company Tokopedia and travel booking startup Traveloka — three Indonesian unicorns with almost $4 billion in funding, have announced a strategic partnership with and investment in digital insurance startup, PasarPolis. The round itself is undisclosed and according to Deal Street Asia, it’s in the range of $5-8 million.
Founded in 2015, PasarPolis started as an insurance comparison site, and it now offers a variety of insurance products covering health, vehicle, accident, property, travel and life, which are underwritten by insurers such as AXA, AXA Mandiri, Lippo Insurance and Zurich. In addition, it has partnered with government-backed workers’ insurer BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as well as with Go-Jek to insure its drivers.
