Marsh acquires Triton Insurance Agency

Marsh has acquired Triton Insurance Agency, a Newport, Rhode Island-based agency specializing in marine and yacht insurance. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2011, Triton serves high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on yacht, hull and other marine coverage. The business will become part of Marsh Agency.

Triton CEO Bob Peck and the agency’s team will join Marsh Agency and continue operating from their Newport office.

The acquisition expands Marsh Agency’s marine insurance expertise and its presence in coastal markets serving high-net-worth clients.
