Mosaic launches AI Lab

Mosaic Insurance  has launched an AI Lab and Forward Deployed Engineer program to develop and deploy AI tools across underwriting, claims, finance, and operations.

The insurer hired its first cohort of four AI, machine learning, and data science specialists, who will work from its London office. The engineers will be embedded directly with business teams to identify problems and move solutions into production.

Mosaic said the lab will reuse AI infrastructure across projects and draw on the company’s policy, loss, and operational data. Its AI systems will be subject to human oversight and validated against business outcomes.
